My Top Internet Social Bookmarking Sites

Social bookmarking has become a popular craze among internet marketers and bloggers alike. Below is a list of some of my favorite social bookmarking sites based on performance and traffic. If there are any social sites that you find beneficial to your blog marketing, please leave a comment and share it to the rest of my readers.

A List Of My Favorite Social Bookmarking Sites

SHOUTWIRE - Shoutwire continues to be at the top of my social bookmarking list. Shouted stories are randomly placed on the front page and the traffic you receive is huge. The best part of Shoutwire visitors is their interaction with your site. You will notice a significant increase in your blog comments, ad clicks, feed subscribers and users who register to your blog.

Stories submitted by top “shouters” seem to always reach the front page. So my suggestion is find out who these people are and leave some comments on the stories they have shouted. In no time they will begin checking out your blog and if worthy, will submit one of your better posts.

Be ready for hundreds and hundreds of visitors in a very short time.

PLUGIM - PlugIM is a social bookmarking site especially for internet marketers. You can easily add your blog feed and have every post you make sent directly to their site. I have not been using PlugIM very long, but it is quickly becoming one of the top social bookmarking sites on my list.

TWITTER - Twitter is not a social bookmarking site as we know it, but it is one of the fastest growing social networking online. There is so much to learn about Twitter and how it can be used as an incredible marketing tool and I will cover that in a separate post. But for now all I can say is that if you are not using Twitter as a source for social interaction, I strongly suggest you start doing so today.

My Web - It seems that everywhere you look marketers are praising the Google “gods”. I say go ahead, give me Yahoo! Any long term marketer or Adsense expert will tell you that to be truly successful with niche sites you must dominate Yahoo, not Google. Yahoo traffic continues to convert on my sites ten times better that all other engines combined… including Google. Yeah traffic may take longer to get but it is well worth the effort, and boy did I go off on a tangent!

I love Yahoo and that’s why I love Yahoo My Web 2.0!

DIGG - By far the most popular, just not by me. Most of the top diggers don’t even have a website or blog. Digg is getting too much like Google, too big for their britches, and if you haven’t guessed by now, I am a huge fan of the little guy. But a social bookmarking list would be incomplete if Digg wasn’t mentioned.

STUMBLEUPON - A good site for getting loads of traffic, but very little long term results. I basically use this site to help get my new blogs indexed by the major search engines and that’s about it.

There are hundreds of social bookmarking sites online and some work better than others depending on your niche. Just keep testing and find which sites work best for you and your blog. If you need help finding niche related social bookmarking sites, please check out 3 spots. Incredible information and very useful for the niche blog marketer.

Welcome To The Social Bookmarking Site Thoof

I know this is getting very repetitive, but another social bookmarking site has hit the scene. The only major difference between this site, Thoof, and sites like digg and shoutwire is how fast your post hits the front page. Once you submit your story, you will be asked to register. And registering is as easy as submitting your email.

After you confirm your email you will be asked to supply your desired password and username. That’s it! Nothing else is required and you will instantly find your post on the first page. No votes or diggs or stumbles or whatever, just your story.

I haven’t used Thoof enough to know just how much traffic will be generated from their site. But I have to say that I love the simplicity of the design. Check out Thoof for yourself and see if it has a future in your blog marketing.

Using Myspace To Make Money Online

Myspace marketing can be a fast way to making money online if you know the steps involved. As you know, there are thousands of spammers associated with Myspace and it’s pretty difficult to distinguish yourself as legit (and I am assuming you are!). Properly using Myspace can result in tons of traffic, and hopefully potential buyers to your affiliate blogs.

But how do your use Myspace correctly? I have come across and excellent video that covers just about everything you need to know about Myspace marketing. Even if you have never set up your Myspace page, or if you live in a closet and have never even heard of Myspace, this video will be beneficial to you. The Myspace marketing video lasts about thirteen minutes, but will greatly improve your social network marketing skills.
