This time the basic concept is to increase the number of backlinks to your blog which, in turn, will have a positive effect on your future Google page rank. And with Google’s page rank update right around the corner, this viral post couldn’t have presented itself at a more opportune time.

I found this “link exchange” post through the Bohemian Bloggers blog and will follow the simple rules of engagement:

** Start Copy Here **

Here are the rules:

1. Copy this post from the point where it says “Start Copy Here” to the point where it says “End Copy Here”

2. Add yourself and 5 of your favorite bloggers to the end of the list.

3. Post this on your blog

DoFollow Forums To Increase Google Page Rank

With Google’s next page rank update close at hand, bloggers are continuing to focus on good, quality backlinks to their blogs. It seems that just a few links from high PR sites is all it takes to raise your blog from a PR0 to a PR2. If you already have a PR3 or higher blog, you really need to focus on getting some links from PR6 blogs or better to have any major effect on your site.

One quick way to achieve this is to purchase high power backlinks. Webmasters everywhere are selling one way, high PR links and can be found on just about any online marketing forum. But be prepared to pay. Buying a high PR link is not cheap.

A much easier and less expensive way to gain some high PR backlinks to your blog is forum postings. Although several online forums use the dreaded “nofollow” tag, there are a few that do not. But finding them is sometimes requires a lot of time and energy on your part.

Swollen Pickles has released an updated list of “dofollow” forums. The list is absolutely awesome! The list contains both a hyperlink to the “dofollow” forum along with it’s respective page rank.

Check out the forum list and get to posting. It’s a no cost, highly effective way to market your blog and get some high PR backlinks at the same time.

Duplicate Content And Search Engine Rankings

Are you a user of PLR articles as the basic source of information and content for your blog or website? There are many different theories as to the effect duplicate content has on your overall search engine rankings and to tell you the truth, I don’t put much stock into those “expert” opinions. I have seen loads of blogs and websites using the same PLR article and many still have good PR. Unless your page is exactly like another, as some of the MFA (made for Adsense) sites are, using the same content has little effect on your search engine rankings.

Do you think the popular article directories suffer from duplicate content? I am sure many of them are displaying the exact same articles. I guess my point is, never listen to the so called experts. Do your own research and come up with your own educated decisions. It may do you some good to start trusting your own judgments!

If you are interested in more duplicate content studies, you may find this press release interesting and helpful. But again, take the info with a grain of salt. Do some testing and discover your own answers.

Duplicate Content: SEO Fact or Fiction?

Lisa Ginger, CEO and pioneering internet marketer recently published “PLR Sting“, a free PDF report detailing long-term search engine strategies.

This short report pulls back the curtain on duplicate content. It also covers the perils of using Private Label Articles as content seen by the search engines. Learn the following:

  • How the search engines index and retrieve web pages — learning this is crucial if you want to rank high in the search engines.
  • Tips for short-cutting your way to online profits without sacrificing your search engine rankings.
  • The 2 different types of duplicate content Google can spot — usually much quicker than webmasters can put it up.
  • The many types of Private Label Rights (PLR) content that will continue to remain valuable far into the future.
  • The value of proper keyword research and why it must not be overlooked.
