Separating Your Blog With Originality
Is it just me, or does it seem that everyone is [tag]blogging[/tag] about the same stuff. I mean, how many different things can we actually blog about! If you pick a niche and visit only five blogs, I bet you will find four of them posting about the same topic on any given night.
Almost every blog that I read basically says the same thing, just from a different point of view. Don’t get me wrong, I am as guilty of this as the next guy. I always love to take the easy way out. So I am forced to ask this question, how do we change it? How can we, as bloggers create better, more [tag]original blogs[/tag].
If we truly want to reach [tag]pro-blogger[/tag] status, we must separate ourselves from the pack. We must continue to create powerful posts that are deemed worthy simply because of their originality. I don’t care if we post about the war in Iraq or about our family pet, we have to do a better job being different.
I don’t know what brought this up, but it’s been on my mind for a few days. And I just can’t seem to come up with a solution as far as my blog goes. Maybe the answer lies with how often I post or what I post about. I really don’t know and maybe never will.
I continue to read “content is king” from everybody, But I think “originality is king” would be a better description. Just look a Technorati’s Top 100 blogs. Even though many of these blogs are within the same niche, they are all original in how they present their blogs. If you strive for more readers and more success, focus on originality. [tag]Being different[/tag] in the [tag]blogoshere[/tag] is the fastest way to the top.
This was written straight from the cuff, so if it doesn’t read well, I must apologize. I wanted to this post to more of a “note to self” and I probably should have kept it that way.
