Fair Ads Network Update
If you have been reading [tag]my blog[/tag], you know that the[tag] Fair Ads Network [/tag](FAN) has been a big topic lately. [tag]FAN[/tag] is claiming to be an excellent [tag]alternative to Google Adsense[/tag] and the [tag]YPN[/tag]. So far I have been impressed with the way things are going.
I am receiving constant updates and having no problems getting any of my questions answered. FAN appears to be a well run program that is dedicated to both their [tag]advertisers and publishers[/tag]. Here is the latest news as to some of the changes that will take place prior to launch:
” Changes in TOS. Not yet done but is being worked out. Here are some:
a) You will be able to show FAN ads in conjunction with other ad networks. However, you must comply to the following guidelines:
b) No more than 3 contextual/image ads (combined with other ad networks), 1 link ad, and max. of 2 referral banners. The ONLY exception is if you have ONLY FAN referral banners on a single page. That means you can display every single one of the FAN banners in a single page as long as there are no sponsored ads by our FAN advertiser or you will be in violation.
c) We are removing CPM from our services. Before you freak out as to why, here’s a great reason why: By doing that we will be able to allow publishers to use traffic exchanges and autosurf sites. This has not been done by any other ad network and I think will be a great modification for us. I have thought about it long and hard and realize a great number of publishers promote their own websites through traffic exchanges and autosurf sites. This will further prevent members from getting their account disabled and terminated.
d) When an ad is clicked, it will open in a new browser. This will help allow each publisher a chance to benefit from the visitor to come back to their site if the visitor is not satisfied with the ad sponsor.
e) You will be paid $0.01 for voting on whether you approve or disapprove an ad. Even though performing this task would only benefit you as a publisher, I felt it’s a great way to entice your participation.”
Only time will tell how well Fair Ads Network will perform. It’s way too early for me to go and cancel my Adsense account. I am however, developing a much stronger confidence in the people putting this thing together. They are helpful, courteous and always fast to respond whenever I have needed anything.
It should also be known that they are only accepting about 10,000 individuals prior to launch. So if you have any interest in being involved on what could possibly be the alternative to Google Adsense, I would reserve your spot today.
