How To Structure A Blog Properly
I know many of you already know [tag]how to start a blog[/tag] properly, but I just wanted to provide a few helpful tools and tips.
The most difficult aspect of [tag]setting up a blog[/tag] is deciding on the main keyword your blog will revolve around. In other words, what is your blog about. [tag]Search engines[/tag] love sites with a very clear and well structured. If you want to establish your blog with a significant amount of [tag]search engine traffic[/tag], you must have an outline of your blog’s structure prior to setting it up.
So how do you go about building a strong structure plan for your blog?
What has helped me in starting all of my blogs is the [tag]free keyword tool[/tag] from Keyword Browse. This tool paints a wonderful picture of how your blog’s structure can and should develop over time. Simply type your [tag]primary keyword[/tag] into the search bar and watch the matrix unfold. What appears are secondary or branch keywords that can be used as blog categories in the future.

In our example I used the keyword “car parts”. Do you see how all of the secondary keywords revolve around your primary keyword. I have found that this visual image leaves a much better impression of how you can structure your blog than does a simple list of keywords.
You can even fine tune your niche by entering one of your secondary or category keywords into the search bar. This can really help you fine tune your niche and lower your competition in the search engines.
Although this is a very simple tip on how to set up a blog properly, it is one that should not be over looked. By keeping your branch keywords in their own category, but at the same time relating them to your primary keyword, you will improve your future search engine traffic.
What Are Your Blog’s Keywords
Many people type away everyday on their blog and think they know what keyword they are targeting. But do they really? Search engines see our blogs much differently than we do. That’s why many times our Adsense ads have little relevance to our blog post. If Adsense is a primary income stream for your blog, you must see your site as the search engines do.
If you want to know what your blog’s true keywords are, use the External Keyword Tool from Google. When you arrive at the site, press the site-related keywords tab and enter your blog’s URL. You will be surprised at some of the keywords that pop up. And if you can write a few posts focusing on these keywords, watch both you search engine traffic and Adsense earnings improve.
