Tips to Improve Google Page Rank And Increase Blog Traffic
It seems that all bloggers are searching for [tag]tips to improve Google page rank[/tag] and [tag]increase blog traffic[/tag]. Below are some of the tips that I found helpful when I began building my blog.
1. Create a blog with well written posts. [tag]Content[/tag] is king.
2. Use [tag]highly searched tags[/tag] for a quick increase in blog traffic. I also from time to time do a search on Technorati for the [tag]most used tags[/tag]. When I create a post around these highly used tags I see a marked increase in my blog’s traffic. Make sure your keyword density is appropriate for the search engine spiders. And don’t forget step one.
3. Proper use of META, title, h1, h2 and h3 tags. An excellent tutorial on this topic can be found here.
4. Keep your blog’s theme simple and easy to navigate. If your visitors can’t easily find what they are after, they won’t hang around very long.
5. [tag]Submit your blog[/tag] to as many directories as possible, making sure your description is keyword rich. I have continued to contract this task to freelancers. For a about ten bucks I can have my blog manually submitted to over 200 directories. I personally use webmasters at digital point forums and have never been disappointed. Simply visit the forum and do a search for “manual directory submission” and you should find someone who fills your requirements.
6. Link to as many blogs withing your niche as possible without regard for page rank. In other words, don’t avoid blogs with a PR0. When I was building this blog, I was fortunate enough to [tag]exchange links[/tag] with a blogger who maintained a wonderful PR0 blog. After [tag]Google’s update[/tag] his PR0 became a PR6. And a link to my blog continues to be displayed on every page of his blog. This is an example of why I never say no to link exchanges with blog’s on target with mine.
7. Test, test and test some more. Keep good records of where your visitors came from, how they got there and how long they stayed. By keeping good reports you will be able to fine tune your blog, correcting your weaknesses and improving your strengths. StatCounter is a wonderful free tool that will give you all the information you need.
8. [tag]Blog with a passion[/tag]. Develop a plan for your blog and stick to it. Don’t make changes unless your research and testing proves that you should. Write for yourself and for what you believe. Welcome the critics and credit those who help.
9. [tag]Keyword rich comments[/tag] on other blogs with links back to individual pages of your. Don’t always link back to your home page! These deep links will help increase your Google page rank in the future.
10. Always [tag]answer comments on your blog[/tag]. If people take the time to add to your post, give them the respect they deserve with a keyword rich response. You will be surprised how this will get you a few extra search engine visitors in the future.
Although there are hundreds of tips to improve Google page rank and increase blog traffic online, these are the basic principles that I follow. Once you develop a consistency to your blogging, success will be waiting just around the corner.
