Self-Improvement Tips Become A Better Blogger
I sometimes see myself as somewhat contented with my life the way things are, but it’s difficult to remain in that state of mind very long. I have a strong desire to [tag]become a better blogger[/tag], not only for my sake but for the sake of others. I continue to wonder why anyone would care to read what I have to say.
But my [tag]passion for blogging[/tag] keeps me moving forward.
As [tag]bloggers[/tag] we are always running into troubles. Some of us may need to increase the number of [tag]daily visitors[/tag] to their blog (don’t we all) while others are continuously [tag]optimizing their blog[/tag] for a [tag]better click through rate[/tag]. It really doesn’t matter what issues we face, it only matters how we see ourselves as bloggers.
If you give yourself some well deserved credit for your hard work and dedication, creating [tag]powerful posts[/tag] will become much easier. Realize that what you have to say matters. Maybe not to everyone, but absolutely to someone. Below are eight questions you should ask yourself as it pertains to becoming a better blogger.
1. What do I want from my blog?
Simple question. Or is it! Discovering what you want from your blog is the first step in aquirring [tag]success[/tag]. If you can honestly answer this question you are ahead of 90% of the bloggers online.
2. Do I Need To Change?
Do you write for your readers or yourself. I guarantee that when you start posting for your readers, your blog will be well on it’s way to destruction. Write with a passion for what you believe, stay focused and welcome all who disagree.
3. What Does The Future Hold?
Is there a plan to your blogging, or is it just reckless abandon. Where do you see your blog in six months… or one year. Dream big and big things will come.
4. Am I Building Relationships?
Are you the blogger who is always checking your blog’s traffic stats or backlinks instead of getting involved with other bloggers. If this is you, STOP! Get out, join communities and spend your time on much more important things, like building relationships.
5. Have I done enough for myself?
Have you, or is there something more you want to do? Don’t be afraid to take chances, and especially don’t be afraid of failure…welcome it as a learning experience. All bloggers will fail at one point or another, but what separates the elite bloggers is how the respond to this failure.
6. Am I Happy With The Direction Of My Blog?
This ties in with #2, but it has to be reinforced. Most bloggers start their journey with a plan or a pathway for their blog. As they progress, they encounter some bumps in the road. So what do they do? They either quit or panic and alter the entire direction their blog is heading. Although sometimes change is unavoidable, it should never be our first option. Stay on track! You may be surprised where it leads.
7. How Much Do I Want?
Traffic, money, comments, whatever. Set your goals high and don’t ever believe they are unreachable. Success is your only option.
8. What’s Your Motivation?
What makes you tick. Some people blog just to be heard, others blog to make money, my question to you is what’s your motivation? Once you determine your driving force, creating trackback enticing posts will be a snap.
Spend some time thinking about these questions. Write down your answers and post it by your computer as a constant reminder. Believe in yourself and become a better blogger. And if there is anything you would like to add, please share your thoughts with a comment.
