Traffic Is Your Ticket To Financial Freedom

There has been a lot of talk about [tag]making money from your blog[/tag] these days and that doesn’t bother me one bit. I strongly feel that if someone puts a ton of effort into building a high quality blog they deserve to be paid for doing so. But let’s get down to one simple fact…you will not make a dime if you dont have your share of traffic.

There are so many free ways to get traffic to your blog. You can do a simple search on Google for blog directories, post your site and eventually you will be rewarded. This of course takes time, but it is a free traffic generator.

I have received a ton of traffic by simply writing post that link to another blogger’s site that has a article related to mine. By generating several of these trackback links, both my Technorati rank and my everyday traffic have increased.

But the key to getting more traffic is [tag]content[/tag]. You need to provide your readers with substance. Nobody wants to visit a blog that is packed full of other people’s articles.ÂÂ

CREATE YOUR OWN CONTENT!

Now I do think it’s alright if you post someone else’s article if it directly relates to your site at times, but not every time. I have a lot of articles that I received from The Warrior Forum because I respect all of the individuals that wrote them and I know they will help you in your journey to wealth. But most of my content, like it or not, is mine. Quality content equals return visits and more people linking to your posts. And you know what that means…more traffic.

Some people believe that you should not try to [tag]monetize your site[/tag] until you reach a certain number of unique visitors per month. I think that’s a bunch of hogwash (sorry, my Kentucky slang is popping out). If you want to put ads on your site do it, but do it full force. Don’t try to hide your ads. Put them out there for the world to see.
